Parish Prayer
Gracious God,
We, the parish family of St. Monica,
embraced by your love,
seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
to know and live Your will.
Nourished by the Eucharist,
may we commit ourselves
to a life
of prayer and service.
Transform us to live Your Word
more profoundly.
Saint Monica,
model of patience,
prayer and perseverance,
intercede for us, that we, too,
may
be awakened to the sacred and
trust in God's perfect
timing.
Amen
The Archdiocese of Atlanta has
issued the following statement about Mass and flu season this
Fall:
“With the approach of cold and flu season, please exercise appropriate precautions at Mass, especially if you have been ill. Please refrain from personal contact during the Our Father and the Sign of Peace, and please feel free to refrain from receiving Communion from the cup. Your fellow parishioners will appreciate your consideration. Anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, headache, tiredness, cough, sore throat, runny nose, etc.) should not attend Sunday Mass or other parish activities. The possibility of infection with influenza represents a sufficient reason not to attend Sunday Mass, and obviates the Sunday obligation.”
