Knights of Columbus: (click here for details)
Membership in the Knights is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See who are over the age of 18.  Membership provides the opportunity for fellowship with those who are of the same belief, who recognize the same duty to God, family and to neighbor and who stand side-by-side to defend those beliefs.  The Knights assist the Parish and its other organizations in charitable endeavors and in practical areas of assistance.  Membership in the Knights also entitles entrance into the security of its versatile insurance portfolio to care for the retirement needs of a Knight, and of his family in the event of his death.

Krewe of Saints: Krewe of Saints Mardi Gras Club celebrate the spirit of fellowship and love by working together for the good and love of God, by ministering to the needs of St. Monica’s Church, St. Vincent De Paul, and other charitable organizations in the community with financial aid from our fundraisers and volunteer work

Monica's Menuettes: St. Monica's culinary group, with no elected officers, no monthly dues and no commitment to regular attendance.  Monica's Menuettes is open to all women of the parish. The group meets monthly in the homes of our members, each person bringing a dish and the recipe for making it.  A theme for the month is selected.   Our goal is to enjoy lunch and exchange recipes.  The Menuettes have two fundraisers a year: their Annual Bake Sale, and their annual Fashion Show.  Proceeds from these fund raising events are dedicated to enhancement of parish life.

The  Medical Mission and Parish Twining Program:

St. Monica is officially twinned to a parish in Hinche, Haiti - The Church of the Sacred Heart.  The effort is called our Twinning Program. We support Sacred Heart in meeting its practical day-to-day financial needs by our stewardship of Treasure.  We also support its pastor in making an annual pilgrimage to our own parish to report on the progress of the Twinning Program.

Part of the Twinning Program is the Haiti Medical Mission. This mission, comprised of a group of doctors, dentists, nurses and support personnel, travel to Haiti twice a year to work in the on-site clinic at Sacred Heart. With Haiti being the poorest country in the western hemisphere, many of its people have never seen a doctor and are in desperate need of medical help. Throughout the last seven years, our volunteers have raised enough money to establish a medical clinic at Sacred Heart Church, staff a doctor year-round and, in 2007, break ground on a dental clinic on the church campus in Hinche, Haiti.

The Medical Mission is supported by the parish through monetary and medical supply donations as well as behind-the-scenes aid in preparing the team for its trip to Haiti each year.  God has blessed our parish with many gifts, and we feel that He calls us to share our gifts with particularly less fortunate fellow Catholics. Learn more about St. Monica’s Twinning Program – and how you can be involved - by clicking the link above.

The Men's Club is open to all men of the parish, age 18 and older.  The Club sponsors our fall festival, Christmas tree sale, building project fundraisers and a broad assortment of other parish-centered events along with support for area charities.  Additionally, the Men's Club offers a college scholarship program open to all high school seniors of Saint Monica's.   The Club seeks also to foster the spiritual life of its members through prayer and group retreats. Small Christian Communities:
St Monica's continues Faith sharing in small communities made up of 8-12 adults, young adults, teens or   families who share their faith in member's homes. They come together to learn, share, nurture and support each other as they try to live a Catholic Christian way of life. All, including non-catholic members of a family, are welcome to take part in this opportunity to grow in faith and become better acquainted with fellow parishioners.
