High School Youth Ministry
Grades 9-12
For high school students religious education and faith formation falls under
the youth ministry program.
The Catholic Church of Saint Monica seeks to offer a Comprehensive Youth
Ministry for our teens. This
includes advocacy of our teens, religious education, community life,
evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and
prayer and worship. We try to
incorporate each of these components in all that we do.
We meet Sunday nights during the school-year after the 5:30 Mass until 8:00
PM. Please see the religious
education calendar for specific dates.
Our Sunday night program is presented in two forms. For eight weeks during the year, classes are offered to the teens. The teens may choose whatever class they wish within the restrictions of class size and age requirements. During the remaining Sunday evenings, there are large group sessions wherein a topic is presented to the entire youth group through speakers, skits, and activities followed by small breakout groups for discussion of the topic of the large group session.
